Brian Irvine

TVTTA LIFE MEMBERSHIP AWARDED 8th SEPTEMBER 2021

Brian Irvine was awarded Life Membership of the Torrens Valley  Table Tennis Association at their recent Presentation Night. He had  been nominated by his beloved Woodside Table Tennis Club, with  whom he has played for forty years since the early 1980’s when with  his wife, Lynette, he moved to and built at Woodside. 

Brian has been Treasurer of TVTTA for ten years continuously. During  this time, he has fulfilled this role meticulously- nobody can  remember him ever making an error. For even longer, he has been  Woodside TTC’s Treasurer as well.  

He is known to be quietly spoken, but in his time as an executive  committee member of TVTTA, he has not been afraid to express an  opinion about the future direction of the Association. These  comments are always well-considered and very insightful. And he  has certainly helped to make the TVTTA the family friendly social  competition that it is today.

Nobody knows for how much longer Brian will be in his Treasurer’s  role- he states for as long as there is no one else who the Association  would rather instead of him. This is likely to be a long time away!  Congratulations, Brian, on your well-deserved award!
