The annual Inter-association match between Torrens Valley and Hills Table Tennis Associations was held on Monday June 3rd. With 10 players per team everyone playing two singles and a double each there was plenty of table tennis action on offer.
Torrens Valley held a 6-4 lead after completion of the first round of singles Ollie Hughes scoring a tight win over Hills Tim Satchel 2-11 11-7 11-6 7-11 11-5 while Graham Wilson for Hills edged out Matt Martin in another tight result 11-9 11-13 12-10 6-11 11-9.
Torrens Valleys number two Eric Jaeger won his reverse single clash with David Helbig 5-11 11-8 11-4 4-11 11-6 and from there it was pretty one sided with Torrens Valley taking all but two of the reverse singles and then claiming all five doubles matches for a 19-59 to 6-32 final result.
Best for Torrens Valley were Eric Harrison, Mark Weinhengst, Brayden Green, Mary Harrison and Natalie Carpenter winning all their matches while for Hills Fergus Wilson scored two singles victories while John Haskey, Ashley Moule, Tim Satchel and Graham Wilson each won a single .
